Welcome to Harry the Annex Pomsky!

Welcome to Harry! This sweet boy has been joining us on our adventure walks since the fall (yes, we are behind on welcomes and have been busayyyyyyy in the park!!)

Here’s Harry at Ramsden Park earlier today. We’re so happy this adorable pup joined our crew!

Delayed Welcome to Bryan our longtime Boarder and our New Dog Walker (Finally!)

Meet our newest dog walker, Bryan C! Maybe you already know him?

Bryan is entering his second year of boarding with K9 Kate’s and is truly a client favourite. He goes the extra mile (plus ten) for each and every dog. He offers our clients - and referrals too- boarding at his incredible home that includes acres where the dogs can run and play safely (3 dogs max))

Bryan has been professionally dog walking for over ten years but was on hiatus after the birth of his daughter.

Well, he’s back! Starting October 3rd, Bryan will be an offical member of our dog walking team. I know that he will be as beloved in this role as he has been as a boarder, which he will continue to be. Welcome (to walking with us) Bryan (C)!

Welcome Georgie the Golden Retreiver

Welcome to our new friend Georgie in the middle who had a truly “golden” start this week.

Here she is at Bickford Dog Park with her two new best, Bernadoodle buddies, Alfred and Mumford. Georgie is a great addition to our group: she’s great with the other dogs, has solid recall already, and is ready to pawty all day long. Welcome Georgie and thanks for chosing K9 Kate’s to be your new, Toronto dog walker!

Welcome Larry the Bernadoodle Bumpkin

Say ‘woof woof’ to our TWO, Bloorcourt Bernaoodle Bumpins: Larry (left) and Shadow. Larry has been walking onleash with K9 Kate’s for the past month and rocks his walks every time. He also found his dog best friend in Shadow, which is a pretty great thing :) Welcome Larry! We’re so happy you chose us to be your (Toronto, force free!) dog walker!

Welcome Alfred the French Bulldog

This Rosedale pup joined our adventure walks earlier this week and has absolutely rocked his walks. He’s been making his way around the city’s dog parks, from Ramsden to Brickworks. Alfred, we’re so happy we get to hang out with you. Welcome to K9 Kate’s!

Welcome Monty the Annex Labradoodle

This Annex pup started 2 weeks ago on private dog walks and is doing SO well. His loose leash walking skills are on point. In no time, Monty will join a group; he’s a little bit shy (who isn’t?!) so we’re having a softer start and then a move to onleash, group dog walks. This is standard procedure for K9 Kate’s: we want your dog to be set up for success! Not all dogs can be placed off the bat into a group, offleash dog walk with a dog walker they’ve never met. We are always mindful of this. Your dog deserves to be on the walk where they feel their best, whether that’s a mellow sniff and stroll or a one hour pawty in the park. Welcome Monty! We’re so happy we get to hang out with you, and that you’re letting us take our time with you, darling boy!

Welcome Truffles the Yorkville Cockapoo!

This adorable pup has been walking with K9 Kate’s for just over one month and is doing SO well. We decided to wait until he’s a bit older to start adventure walks. Right now, Truffles’ goal (he has goals of course) is loose leash walking! So, he’s been joining Mark Y (yes, we have two Marks who volunteered at When Hounds Fly walking our dogs) on semi-private dog walks around Yorkville. Soon, Truffles will be the teacher to the next group of puppies. Truffles, we’re so proud of you and so happy that you chose K9 Kate’s to be your Toronto dog walker.

Welcome Jasper and Pepper the Annex Beagles

Let’s get loud for these loud and proud Beagles!!

Jasper and Pepper started on adventure walks last week and are doing so well with their new friends. They’ll soon start force-free training with the one and only Andrea to continue the work we’ve started in the park: let’s go recall!

These dogs are such a great addition to our group: they’re so dog social and they’re great students: even after 2 walks, they’re recall has improved so much. Welcome to the Annex and to K9 Kate’s Jasper and Pepper!! We’re so happy we get to hang out with you!

K9 Kate's business listing (and 50+ five star reviews) Currently Down

Do you see that boot? Three weeks ago tomorrow, I had a joint fusion in my big toe. Apparently, my feet didn’t “love” the many years of running in the morning followed by walking dogs all day. Still, I’ve loved it so much I wouldn’t trade a thing!

It just so happens that a few days after the surgery, I was notified that our Google business listing and the more than 50 five star reviews aligned with it had been suspended. I was also notified that it would take roughly two weeks to resolve. GIven I was on rest, it wasn’t too concerning but, close to 3 weeks later, it’s still down!

Normally, this wouldn’t be too problematic; this is a dog walking and training company that’s almost always at/near capacity but, for the first time in a long time, finds itself in the inverse situation. Expecting the massive pre-Labour day rush of new dogs, we have brought on 2 amazing dog walkers … and no one can find us!!

Oh the pain! Joint fusion doesn’t even come close.

Thankfully, other companies and our own clients have been helpful in referring to us while this is happening (big shout out especially here to our friends at We Wag Toronto, Andre Yeu at the incomparable When Hounds Fly, and force-free powerhouses like Pet Social Club)!

Still, we want you to find us! This is a uniquely talented team of dog walkers. Everyone is experienced, force-free and brings their A game every walk. It is what separates us from your average company and it is also why K9 Kate’s has received 3 nods as being among Toronto’s best dog walking companies.

So, while I sit here in my boot, I want you to know that we are accepting new dogs, both onleash and offleash.

Should this continue into next week, we will rebuild our business page until once again, you can easily find us when you search for your new (and ideally) force-free Toronto dog walker! We can’t wait to connect with you soon - boots are optional, dogs are a must! Woof!

Welcome Bass, the Bernese Mountain Dog

Bass is another dog who recently joined our foce-free, adventure walks and will also be starting his first housesit soon! This Deer Park hunk is a wonderful addition to our group; he’s great with other dogs and loves to play with everyone! You can find him at local dog parks Ramsden Dog Park and Winston Churchill with his K9 Kate’s crew. Big welcome to this bubba!!!

Welcome to Betty, the Blue Lacy Mix

This Annex wonderpup joined K9 Kate’s adventure walks 2 weeks ago and we’re so happy she did. Betty is born to run … and run … and PLAY! She is the perfect park dog. Betty, thanks for choosing K9 Kate’s to be your Toronto dog walker!

Welcome Leo and Beckham the Newfoundland Dogs (And Fancy Pants)!

These gorgeous Newfies have been walking with K9 Kate’s for the past 2 weeks and have gained quite the fan club in little time! They’re great in the dog park and on the mean streets of Yorkville. Beckham and I have a lot in common: we both love dogs, our favourite dog park is Coronation Park, and we’re both currently in walking boots! Woof and welcome to Leo and Beckham!

Welcome Bruno, The Annex Shih Tzu!

This Annex Shih-Tzu has walked (and boarded) with K9 Kate’s for the past 2 months. He is such a roack star in the park. Bruno, we’re so happy we get to hang out with you!

Welcome Oscar the Miniature Dachshund!

This Little Italy darling started mid-July on both our onleash to park dog walks and in our force-free daycare. He is such a lovely boy- great with the other dogs and easily melting every person’s heart in the dog park. Welcome sweet Oscar! Thanks for choosing K9 Kate’s to be your new Toronto dog walker!

Welcome Delilah and Jezebal, The Annex Pugs (seen with Billie the Cockapoo)

Too much cuteness?? Possibly, but we’ll allow it!! These pugalicious sisters have been walking with us for the past 3 months and we love them so much. They’re currenlty having a sleepover pawty (aka boarding but that’s a far less fun way to put it) with us and thriving. They’re sweet, sassy, silly and deicious and we’re so happy they chose K9 Kate’s to be their Toronto Dog Walker.

Welcome Ava the Terrier Mix

This sweet Christie Pits’ pup has been joining our small group, onleash dog walks for the past 3 weeks and has been rocking her walking from day one. We’re so happy we get to hang out with her. Welcome sweet Ava!

Welcome Mumford the Bernadoodle

This adorable dood has been joining us onleash to the dog park for the past 2 weeks and we are totally in love with him already. Mumford is sweet, playful, great with the other dogs and clearly SO SO cute. We’re so happy we get to hang out with him. Thanks for choosing K9 Kate’s as your Toronto dog walker, Mumford! We can’t wait for more adventures with you!

Welcome Jaxson, the Black Lab Puppy

I want to officially welcome Jaxson! This adorable, Trinity Bellwoods puppy has been walking with us since early spring. He’s been venturing out onleash with Candace as he prepares to transition to adventure walks. His walking skills are so on point. We can’t wait to see him in the park! Welcome sweet boy!!

K9 Kate's Rated Again Top 10 Toronto Walking Company (Go. Team!)

Hi blog readers! I receied a message last week from torontoblogs.ca that K9 Kate’s has again been listed among Toronto’s best dog walking companies (again go. TEAM!). We’re force-free, experienced and serious dog lovers :)

Here’s the lovely description of our company from the post:

K9 Kate’s is a force-free, accomplished, and experienced professional canine walker company. Most walkers have many years of expertise and treat your animals as if they were part of the family. They offer various options for your friend, such as doggie adventure activities including other dogs, where your furry friend has never before gone, puppy leash walks which are either done in a group or private, with optional visits to your home.

If your dogs require it, they also offer boarding where your pet could live like a home away from home with plenty of care and not be cooped up all day. With so many options available, you’re sure to find something that piques your pup’s interest!
