Do you see that boot? Three weeks ago tomorrow, I had a joint fusion in my big toe. Apparently, my feet didn’t “love” the many years of running in the morning followed by walking dogs all day. Still, I’ve loved it so much I wouldn’t trade a thing!
It just so happens that a few days after the surgery, I was notified that our Google business listing and the more than 50 five star reviews aligned with it had been suspended. I was also notified that it would take roughly two weeks to resolve. GIven I was on rest, it wasn’t too concerning but, close to 3 weeks later, it’s still down!
Normally, this wouldn’t be too problematic; this is a dog walking and training company that’s almost always at/near capacity but, for the first time in a long time, finds itself in the inverse situation. Expecting the massive pre-Labour day rush of new dogs, we have brought on 2 amazing dog walkers … and no one can find us!!
Oh the pain! Joint fusion doesn’t even come close.
Thankfully, other companies and our own clients have been helpful in referring to us while this is happening (big shout out especially here to our friends at We Wag Toronto, Andre Yeu at the incomparable When Hounds Fly, and force-free powerhouses like Pet Social Club)!
Still, we want you to find us! This is a uniquely talented team of dog walkers. Everyone is experienced, force-free and brings their A game every walk. It is what separates us from your average company and it is also why K9 Kate’s has received 3 nods as being among Toronto’s best dog walking companies.
So, while I sit here in my boot, I want you to know that we are accepting new dogs, both onleash and offleash.
Should this continue into next week, we will rebuild our business page until once again, you can easily find us when you search for your new (and ideally) force-free Toronto dog walker! We can’t wait to connect with you soon - boots are optional, dogs are a must! Woof!
