Welcome Oscar, The Annex Maltipoo!

Sweet Oscar has walked and trained with K9 Kate’s for the past month. He’s not only a great addition to our group, he also has the BEST underbite in town. Welcome Oscar :)

Happy International Women's Day from all of us at K9 Kate's!

Before today, this gem from 2017 with Callie, Laila and Tundra hadn’t been posted. Even before that, K9 Kate’s started with dogs that needed to run and weren’t getting that or couldn’t get that from the dog park. We all ended up in the park anyway but we sure did hustle and work to get there.

It’s important to celebrate women and to fight for and protect their rights so we can all continue to run our businesses (and our dogs!) together! Woof woof (the dogs agree).

Welcome Murphy, the Bloorcourt Goldendoodle Prince!

This beautiful boy started private walks and training with us about 1 month ago. This week, he’ll be starting his first housesit and, after that, Murphy is graduating to group walks. To see this boy’s amazing growth in such a short time is what this job is all about. Shout out to Murphy and his parents who couldn’t be lovelier to work with and meet us right in the middle when it comes to investing in Murphy!

Welcome Mishka, the Little Italy Bocker!

This sweet girl has been on private walks with K9 Kate’s for the past few months and is a total angel. Welcome Mishka! We’re so happy you chose us to be your dog walker <3

Welcome Mak, the Yorkville Doodle Pawty Monster!

This sweet Australian Ladradoodle has been walking with us for about 1 month and we love her to bits! She was shy at first- not too surprising for a young pup that’s never been with a walker before. So, we did what we always do: we tailored her start to work for her! We started with some private walks until she felt more comfortable leaving her mom to walk with us. Then, we moved it to the park when she was ready and, man, is she ready! Mak loves to play with the other dogs and they love her. Mak, you’re a super star and a wonderful addition to our group! Thanks for letting us hang out with you!

Welcome Charlie: We are attracting Spaniels and I like it!

This Yorkville prince joined our dog walks a few weeks ago and he and Vada are upping our Spaniel game! This cutie does it all: he can walk solo, or join either the leashed or offleash group. He’s not only sweet: he’s gifted us with a solid Tongue out Tuesday submission for our Instagram wall :) Our passion is what separates us from the rest. Welcome to K9 Kate’s, Charlie!

Welcome Vada, our Senior Queen!

This face!! Vada is a senior cocker spaniel who joined us about 1 month ago. We take her for short, private walks when her pawrents go do pawrent things. This Seaton Village pup is as sweet as she is adorable. Thanks for choosing K9 Kate’s to be your Toronto dog walker.

Welcome back to everyone and welcome to Pippa!

Welcome back, Pippa! This sweet Sheepadoodle was with us briefly before a move and is back and better than EVER! It’s like she never left :)

Ho ho ho home for the Holidays!

Say hi to sweet Millie, our beloved Deer Park Golden Retriever and resident snuggle champion. Millie has a big announcement: we are closed for the holidays from December 23rd-January 2nd, reopening on the 3rd. We wish you a safe pawliday season, whether you’re celebrating 8 crazy nights or 1 big Santa fest. See you in 2024!

Welcome Mitz, the Harbord Village Kuvasz!

This sweet pup has been with us for about 3 months and recently graduated from training walks to private walks. and we suspect she’ll be moving to small group walks before she knows it. Way to go, Mitz!

Welcome to Cyrus and Hazel, the Annex Weimaraners

This sibling duo has been walking with K9 Kate’s for 3 months now- yes, I’m behind but not on our wall welcomes if you have Instagram :) This picture of Cyrus was taken by our senior trainer Natalie, who happens to be helping us with onleash dog walks around the Annex for the next number of months- lucky us and lucky dogs! With her, their leash walking has improved so dramatically. Not only did they score but we did too: their pawrents are always so appreciative which we, as a small business, couldn’t appreciate more. Welcome Cyrus, Hazel and your pawrents, Donna and Ken! Thanks for choosing us and for keeping things positive!

Super huge BIG amazing announcement for our clients!

There’s a lot that separates K9 Kate’s from other dog walking companies. We have walkers that are also veterinarians and trainers. We’re a small enough team and company that everyone knows each other, but large enough to make sure you always have coverage when a walker is sick or away. We’re positive reinforcement only, unlike a lot of companies that claim to be. We get regular referrals from the most trusted trainers and walkers in the entire city. Our walkers are skilled and that’s what we focus on. Want one more reason to choose us? From now, until the spring of 2024 we have a very senior trainer, Natalie, walking dogs for us at no extra cost to you. This is a unique offer and just one more thing that separates us from the rest. So, please, reach out through out site if you’d like to start walking or training with K9 Kate’s. Thanks and have a great day. Woof!

Welcome to Training and Training walks, Oliver, the Shihpoo!

Thanks to our friends at When Hounds Fly for referring Oliver to K9 Kate’s for additional training. Together, we’ll be helping this sweet boy conquer his fear based reactivity. Oliver, we’ve got your back! We know that you’re going to feel safe and calm and we’re there to do the work with you, buddy.

Welcome to Leashed Walks, Teddy, the Annex Great Pyrenees

This sweet sweet boy joined our leash walks recently and is a great addition to our crew. He is appropriately named Teddy given- as you can see- he is a walking Teddy bear :) Welcome to K9 Kate’s sweet boy! We’re so happy you chose us to be your new Toronto dog walker.

Welcome Freddy, the Australian Labradoodle!

This adorable Yorkville pup has been with us for 2 weeks and is a total dream dog/Muppet. He’s as great with the other dogs as he is adorable, and really brings that sweet factor to the park that we love to see.

In his welcome picture, Freddy is hanging out with his new buddies at one of our regularly visited parks, Ramsden. Welcome sweet boy!

Welcome to Offleash Walks, Francois the Standard Poodle

This Annex pup has been walking with K9 Kate’s since last spring so a welcome is long overdue. Francois first joined our walks short term but loved us so much (and the feeling is mutual!) that he decided to stay. Francois is a dream to walk: he plays so well with all of the other dogs, has fantastic recall, and is just so sweet and cuddly. Here he is at Ramsden park with his doodle friends. We love and welcome you to to our dog walks, Francois!

Welcome to Offleash Walks, Ben, The Cockapoo

I love how happy this Seaton Village pup looks with his walking pal, Molly! Here is Ben, on the left, at Cedarvale Ravine about 1 month after joining our park walks. I remember when I first met Ben. He had been with a dog walker before but not in Toronto. He was new to the city, and unsurprisingly, stressed. Together, with his mom, we made a plan to make sure he had a successful transition from a private walk to the group. She met us the first day which really helped put Ben at ease. Now, one month later, he’s the king of the dog park! Welcome to K9 Kate’s, Ben! We’re so happy you chose us to be your Toronto dog walker. We choose you right back!

Welcome to Offleash Walks Hudson, the Annex Rescue King!

We are behind on our blog welcomes but always post on our Instagram (@k9katetoronto) if you want to see our friends in action! Why do we do these welcomes? Each dog is special and deserves to be celebrated! It’s also a gift to get to work with these dogs and to have them fit so well with us and vice versa.

Hudson has been with us for about 2 months now and is doing phenomenally on his offleash dog walks. His family was not only new to the Annex, but to Toronto as well so we took a slow start to walks to help ensure Hudson felt comfortable with all of the changes he was going through. I love it when both me and the client are on the same page about these things. Why take a huge step forward only to take 10 steps back? Why “force” it (force free shout out!)?

The approach worked great and Hudson quickly graduated from private to leashed to park walks. Well done, Hudson, and welcome to our walks <3

Welcome Nika and Griffon, the Little Italy Huskies!

Welcome to K9 Kate’s Nika and Griffon! You’re even making me excited for winter and that is no easy feat. We’re so happy you chose us to be your dog walkers!
